About Us
Martin Auction is a family-owned business, founded in Clinton, Illinois in 1947 by Warren Martin, an elected member of the Illinois State Auctioneer Association Hall of Fame. Warren was joined in 1966 by son Larry Martin, a graduate of Illinois State University. In 1973, Stan Irvin, who attended Southern Illinois University, came aboard. In 1991, after graduating from ISU, Rob Nord joined the team.
We offer a full auction staff including auctioneers, clerking and cashiering as well as a ring-service. Our facility allows flexibility to our customers as we are able to conduct an auction at their site or on our secure lot.
In 2007, Larry decided to sell the original facility just south of Clinton, so his daughter and son-in-law, Lucy & Rob Nord built the new Martin Auction Facility across the street from the old site.
Now with one of the most modern auction facilities in the Central Illinois, they invite your attendance / consignments to one of the many pre-scheduled events coming in the next year.
In June 2008, the fourth generation, Evelyn Nord, graduated from Missouri Auction School. We are proud and excited to offer our customers the experience and knowledge that comes from four generations in the auction industry.
We have a full line of mobile auction equipment and are capable of conducting an auction at your site or ours. Services include a full set up and auction day personnel.
Our friendly staff is eager to meet with you today about buying or selling property at public auction.
